Natural Arthritis Treatment

One of the most common diseases in the United States today is Arthritis. However, the fact is, this disease has always plagued the middle aged and older generation. Many of those suffering from the disease, do not want to use prescription drugs or steroids.

Many would prefer a natural arthritis treatment. This is possible, but does depend on which form of the disease you have. Two most common forms f Arthritis are Rheumatoid, and Hypertropic Arthritis. The latter also known as Osteo Arthritis. Most people, when referring to Arthritis, are actually talking about Hypertopic Arthritis. This is when calcium deposits have built up on the joint's bone surface. This form of the disease makes the joints stiff and reduces mobility. Unlike Rheumatoid Arthritis, the joints do not swell, become hot or feverous.

A suitable natural arthritis treatment, for Osteo Arthritis, is movement, to reduce stiffness. This however, would be extremely unbeneficial for someone suffering Rheumatoid Arthritis. Gentle massage can be beneficial, and swimming, but only with certain patients. For Rheumatoid arthritis it is suggested the patient use anti inflammatory herbs, for example, turmeric or ginger. It is also believed, certain foods can aggravate the condition and should be eliminated, or reduced in the diet. For instance, some grains, like wheat and corn, plus sugar, dairy products and hydrogenated vegetable oils. Reducing refined foods, with chemical additives, is also advised. Food specific diets are not as successful with Rheumatoid Arthritis, as the are with Osteo. However, that is not to say there are no benefits.

Osteo Arthritis can be treated by a Homeopath. Various treatments an supplements can be prescribed, because a Homeopath will treat the body as a whole. However, Bryonia Alba and Rhus Tox are often used. These are not suitable for those with a serious disorder, but many do experience much needed pain relief. For some, the improvement can be invaluable. If only a few joints are affected, a food specific diet and Ultrasound treatment can be very successful. Less than a dozen sessions will usually suffice. Low level laser therapy can also be used to control the disease. Some patients even feeling the benefits after one single session. Each lesson lasting no more than five minutes. This will not cure the disease, but many people have gained several weeks of relief through one treatment alone. Changing your lifestyle, to control autoimmunity, sums up the requirements for a successful natural arthritis treatment. Rheumatoid arthritis is one of the most common diseases, where the body's own immune system has turned upon itself. Try out various Chinese herbal remedies and Ayurvedic medicine. Both have been successful in promoting relief from Arthritis. Investigate and experiment, until you find the right natural remedies for you.
