Natural Arthritis Treatment - Arthritis Aches and Pains

It is a real fact, as we get older, the aches and pains set in. Even for those who take regular exercise, the joints just aren't as good as they used to be! Usually, a few days, and the body feels back on track.

That would be a normal scenario. However, if those aches and pains just don't seem to be getting better, over a matter of weeks, it's probably a good idea to consult your medical physician. Always best to make sure, the pain, or discomfort you are experiencing, is not Arthritis Aches and Pains. Even if the cause is not Arthritis, they can assess what IS causing your symptoms. Maybe you have suffered a recent injury? If the pain is severe, you have a fever, or swelling of the joints, get yourself along sooner. There are several other illnesses which are capable of displaying similar symptoms.

If your regular medical physician believes the condition is Arthritis, they will usually treat the problem, if the case is not severe. First, a physical examination will be carried out. Checking for rashes, swelling, mobility and weakness of the muscles. They will assess your medical history, including family, and take into account your own personal lifestyle. The next step, for any doctor, is to discover which form of Arthritis you have. There are over a hundred known types of the disease, some mild, some serious. No matter which, diagnosis and treatment, is definitely in your interest. For this, they will request tests, for a more thorough evaluation. This would normally include X-rays, to reveal if there is any damage to cartilage. If your physician believes the condition might be Rheumatoid Arthritis, or Osteoarthritis, they will also require blood tests. These are considered more serious conditions. If this is the case, then a specialist, most likely, will be assigned. Known as a Rheumatologist. Because there are so many different forms of the disease, it could take several appointments and various tests for them to determine exactly which form you are suffering from.

Rheumatoid Arthritis was first described by a French medical physician, Dr Augustin Landr(-Beauvais, way back in eighteen hundred. Based on the name for Rheumatic fever. A known illness, which affects the joints, causing a lot of pain. Rheumatoid is derived from the Greek word 'Rheumatos'. Rheumatoid, translated, means 'an inflammation of the joint, similar to Rheumatic'. Unfortunately, Rheumatoid Arthritis can not be cured, however, it can be treated. With correct treatment, it can be prevented from destroying the joint entirely, and pain can be substantially reduced. If you believe you are suffering from Arthritis Aches and Pains, get along to your medical Physician. If the disease is left unchecked, more problems will almost certainly develop.
