The Best Eating Regimen for People with Osteoarthritis

The Best Eating Regimen for People with Osteoarthritis

Author: Michael Byrd

The finest health plan for someone with osteoarthritis is a full eating regimen. But, if this sounds too simple, let\'s look into it a little closer.

In essence, \"whole food\" should never be equated to processed food. Processed food does not have nutritional value anymore because processing strips off its nutrients, leaving natural food useless.

For example, when grains or fatty acids are made into flour or pasta, fatty acids are removed - not because they should really not be there but because they aid rotting.

Food spoilage will result in shorter shelf life, which in turn will cost the manufacturer more. Hence, it is best that fatty acids are removed from bread.

Now you can easily understand why it is important to eat foods close to its natural state to make sure you are getting the right nutrients for your body.

So, now that you are ready to eat whole foods, the next question is: Which foods you should take to manage osteoarthritis? That is a good question.

Aside from devoting yourself to eat a balanced diet consisting of vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, dairy, and fresh fruit, you should concentrate on foods that improve collagen, inhibit inflammation, and promote strong bones and cartilage.

Among the different foods included in the anti-inflammatory group, oily fish is considered the primary source. So it is best that you consume two to five servings in a week and additional fish oil consumption everyday to help you overcome chronic inflammation.

Secondary to oily fish in the anti-inflammatory group are red and black grapes, blueberries, citrus, beets, and garlic.

Citrus foods can help improve collagen. Collagen is known to provide more rigidity and elasticity to the tissues.

Solid amounts of collagen are needed for stronger bones including calcium from eggshells and dairy and amino acids from good sources of protein.

Lastly, you need glucosamine to maintain your body\'s capacity to repair any damage in your bones and maintain your joint cartilage in one piece. You can get it from shellfish with its shell. This is the best source of glucosamine among other sources.

Of course, it\'s not easy staying healthy and eating healthy but you really have to if you want to avoid health problems like osteoarthritis. And if you really want to solve this problem, you really should maintain a diet with natural food based supplements.

To help you prevent and relieve symptoms of osteoarthritis, you need to consume more glucosamine hydrochloride and omega 3 fatty acids. The first can be found in shrimp and lobsters while the second supplement can be found in fishes. Glucosamine hydrochloride is known to protect your cartilage while omega 3 fatty acids are known to relieve inflammation.

These two act together to generate remarkable results. And getting glucosamine supplement is less complicated than getting it from shrimps and lobsters.

For women, it is best that you take calcium and vitamin C complex. These things are important supplements to promote healthy bones and healthy collagen.

Now, it is clear that the only best source of solution for people with osteoarthritis is whole foods. So any form of processed foods must be thrown away.

Finally! The whole unbiased truth about omega 3 fish oil exposed. You owe it to yourself to visit the omega 3 information site and get the facts today.
